Defending the wording of Article of 41.2 of The Irish Constitution, Archbishop John Charles McQuaid wrote that 'nothing will change in law or fact of nature that a
woman's natural sphere is in the home' (1937). This sound and video installation explores the limits and contradictions of defining woman's 'natural sphere' or assigning gender roles within the
home. Projecting onto three pieces of furniture that my grandmother made, indoor domesticity from a past time contends with the present (Ban an Tí Group Exhibition, The Chocolate
Factory, Dublin, 2017).
